Wha? Wait a second, today is St. Patrick's Day??? How the hell did that happen. Okay, I have had it. I hate Lexington. Yes. I have finally decided where I stand in my opinion about Lexington and I have to say - for depriving me of my heritage - I hate you. You make me sick.

I'm not even wearing green and I have no plans to even drink one green beer today. When I lived in New Orleans, this was like my favorite drinking holiday, too. I took off work for it. It was sooo much better than Fat Tuesday. There were parades and everyone ended up on the same corner in the Irish Channel and eventually several laws would be broken right in front of you. Good times.

Wait - is today St. Patrick's Day?? Is today Wednesday or Thursday? With Angel in hiatus all the days run together. Even so. I'm highly disappointed in Lexington. I have a heritage or something to celebrate and that guy doing the thing with the things over there in the place - why, that requires I drink watered-down beer with food color in it. Because of Jesus.

it really is St. Patrick's Day. Since I moved away from Savannah it totally sneaks up on me too.

Of course part of that could be the fact that Seattle is all into moving the holidays to the weekends, so really here it's not St. Patrick's Day until Friday.

I missed taking the day off and getting green eggs and ham for breakfast, and the 64 ounce green beer in plastic cups that you could have on the street.

Yes, today is St. Patrick's Day. I'm making Corned Beef and Cabbage and the whole family is coming over. We're mostly French Canadian but there is a bit of Irish. Not wearing green though. I don't actually own anything green.

And you wouldn't have to pay for vividcon accommodations.

Up here we die our river green, too. And have parades and beer and corned beef sandwiches. Or so I read. I'm having Chinese food for dinner and collapsing on my couch. But, my couch is green, so I guess that's festive.

But sisabet *should* move to Chicago, because that would be convenient as all heck.

Today is indeed St Patty's day...

and sadly while I'm wearing Green- my only plans are a hair appointment after work. And I *know* a Green Beer or nice ale would do my slowly closing throat a world of good. Maybe I should go find one after my head message & cut...

Did you mean head massage? Cause I want a head message if not. What is it?

Yes, yes- head massage. *face palm*

Before the shampoo- Christopher will use some aromatic oils to massage my scalp & neck. I usually become quite incoherent and embarassingly moan.

Cael, in Boston, will not drink green beer because, well because she's the only Irish girl she knows who won't. I will knock back whiskies for you, however.

Forget the green beer. Go straight to the Guinness. What a real beer should be.

I shall be going to the London Irish Rugby Club St Patrick's Day match on Sunday - when they are aiming to break the record for total number of pints of Guinness drunk. Since they've managed to break it every year in succession since I've been going, I have high hopes.

I have my Guinness hat brushed and ready.

Dude, best part of St. Patricks in New Orleans was the parades. You could get cabbage and carrots and go home and feel like you hunted down dinner. 8)

I'm homesick. I miss the pretty Italian/Irish boys and their wineskins.

I forgot about the carnations. I tend to just remember the cabbage and carrots b/c I nearly got beaned by a cabbage head one year. Good thing my roommate had catlike reflexes. ;)

I love you. :-D

I'm using my Slytherine icons all over the place today, I figure the green there is good enough.

I think that was a compliment, though it could have been sarcasm. But I shall choose the former, and say...thank you.

I hope Lexington begins to grow on you again. I like it, of what we have to offer in the ole KY, it is at the top of the list. There's always the beach, but that's in a far off place, that I one day hope to be. My vision...as I exit onto my patio I cross the stones, pass by the pool, and then open the gate, and to what...to sand...sand as far as the eye can see to my left and right, and straight ahead, a calm blue sea...tis a nice dream...

But again, thank you. I hope your day goes well tomorrow...and so on and so forth and pray for a place where shows don't get cancelled, and Angels never get fat, and Vampire slayers don't get full of themselves so as to not go to their own party, and a place where my show, Roswell, is still going on, and all mention of Kav'ar...never happened. Tis a nice dream...

It was a compliment. And your vision seems very, very nice. Ahhhh...the beach.

Your show is now on DVD - have you seen?

St. Patrick's Day snuck up on me, too. I had all these plans to make an Irish dinner for my hubby, the boy and me, but we wound up sick and all we had was fish. Frozen fish and french fries. Woot.

Anyway, it's like I live in Ireland anyway. I'm surrounded by redheads (husband and boy). At least I don't worry about getting pinched. I have a four-leaf clover tattoo on my chest I got when me and my hubby were dating. And, my son could kick that Lucky Charms leprechaun's little ass, to be sure!
