Mar. 14th, 2004 06:29 pmSo in order to escape my house and The Verve *, I went shopping. Groceries were needed, sofas needed to be sat upon and considered for that fine day I eventually buy one and most important of all: last night I discovered that I am only one volume short of having all of season 2 Farscape. I should organize my DVDs more often - there is no telling what else I have.
So today I now have a complete season 2, a fair amount of season one (all that I want actually - I can live without "Jeremiah Crichton") and my thoughts turn toward Season 3 and 4. This is good.
Circuit City and Best Buy and their strange ways of DVD pricing - this is not good. At Circuit City, QaF Season 3 was priced at $109.99. FOR FOURTEEN EPs!!!! Puh-leeze. I mean - I love Brian Kinney as much as the next girl, but for $109.99 I expect Gale Harold to come over to my house and give me at least a 30 minute foot rub. I'd be sleazier with that demand, but I don't want Gale to feel all exploited.
At Best Buy, QaF was $80.99 which still seems really pricey for 14 episodes and half of them weren't that great. Seriously. I watch early season 3 like this: fast forward, oh Brian, fast forward, dammit Justin!!! fast forward. Hell, I watch late season 3 the same way. Oh, well.
I have so much more to say - but supper is ready and I am starving.
*In my car My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult appears to have taken over. Strange things are happening in my brain. Also - I thought my "Sexplosion" CD was missing and then it mysteriously turns up.

Date: 2004-03-14 10:46 pm (UTC)you don't have to wait if you get it region 2, they get it way before us because they don't have to worry about syndication issues. also, i believe that they only have 3 sets instead of the 10 that you have to buy here if you buy the dvds separately.
