So in order to escape my house and The Verve *, I went shopping. Groceries were needed, sofas needed to be sat upon and considered for that fine day I eventually buy one and most important of all: last night I discovered that I am only one volume short of having all of season 2 Farscape. I should organize my DVDs more often - there is no telling what else I have.

So today I now have a complete season 2, a fair amount of season one (all that I want actually - I can live without "Jeremiah Crichton") and my thoughts turn toward Season 3 and 4. This is good.

Circuit City and Best Buy and their strange ways of DVD pricing - this is not good. At Circuit City, QaF Season 3 was priced at $109.99. FOR FOURTEEN EPs!!!! Puh-leeze. I mean - I love Brian Kinney as much as the next girl, but for $109.99 I expect Gale Harold to come over to my house and give me at least a 30 minute foot rub. I'd be sleazier with that demand, but I don't want Gale to feel all exploited.

At Best Buy, QaF was $80.99 which still seems really pricey for 14 episodes and half of them weren't that great. Seriously. I watch early season 3 like this: fast forward, oh Brian, fast forward, dammit Justin!!! fast forward. Hell, I watch late season 3 the same way. Oh, well.

I have so much more to say - but supper is ready and I am starving.

*In my car My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult appears to have taken over. Strange things are happening in my brain. Also - I thought my "Sexplosion" CD was missing and then it mysteriously turns up.

http://www.dvdsoon.com has them for $63US - no shipping and handling! It's still expensive, but far less than everywhere else. Now I just have to justify the purchase. :-/

They seem to be reliable. I've never used them, but their site has remained online for several months since I've discovered them and I've had it recommended by someone.

i have the S1 farscape boxset and i need to get the S2. the cheapest i've seen it is around $89 plus free shipping. how much were yours?

the qaf dvds are the same in my best buy and circuit city. i went in circuit city and had a heart attack. there was no way i was going to but these at the listed price. i ended up buying them for amazon for about $77 plus free shipping.

Yeah - I have no idea how much I have paid for FS S2 since I was buying the volumes separately - not in the complete set. I'd bought each volume (there are 5 in all for S2) at different price points as well. I know I paid $17 for one of the volumes last year at Best Buy - and then I paid $27 for the one I needed to complete the set today.

I'm thinking about just buying S3 and S4 in Region 2 anyway - saving myself the hassle.

i put off buying them separately because i figured they would have the box set and i could save myself a couple of bucks. there are a lot of movies and things that i wish i could just but region 2 dvds for but i don't have anything that will play dvds from that region. my dvd player is region 1 and the region encoding on my computer's dvd drive can only be changed 4 times before it becomes stuck to whatever the last region is.

you don't have to wait if you get it region 2, they get it way before us because they don't have to worry about syndication issues. also, i believe that they only have 3 sets instead of the 10 that you have to buy here if you buy the dvds separately.

I have a vid actually - well 3/4ths of one that stalled last year. Wait - actually it was the year before last - and I have been using the excuse of not having the DVDs yet for not finishing it. Which looks like a moot point now :)

Eh. I know this is cwazy cwazy late, but I just watched your vid Blue Room in Archway, because Wendy ([livejournal.com profile] kitkatbyte) told me I "ABSOLUTELY had to", and wanted to drop a line to tell you how much I loved it. The blue theme/imagery was subtle and wonderful, and Brian in pain is a bootiful bootiful thing. So - yeah, thank you, loved it!! Can't believe it took me this long... Ah well, better late than never, right??
