I Whine, Therefore I Am

I am so mad uninspired it hurts.
sockkpuppett says it is post vid letdown and she's probably right - I had post-vid afterglow kinda extended for a while there so I thought I had gotten a get out of letdown free card. Nope, just delayed.
I'm not really uninspired so much as not able to pull anything together. There is like this short-circuit from my brain to the project and I am not having much luck translating what I see in my head into the timeline. Which is frustrating as I have the fricking Firefly vid clipped, conceptualized and ready to go. It is a simple vid without any complicated effects or tricks - and it is just what I need right now.
So, maybe another project? I have an Angel/Spike vid on hold that I watched the other night and then I had to take a moment and just go "The hell?" - WTF am I trying to say? I think it is mainly Angel and Spike have a lot in common and it sucks to be Angel and these are things that have already been said and shown and vidded and I am tempted to just trash the entire timeline, except there are three sequences I love more than coffee and I can't. I think I need to watch "The House of the Dead" trailer more - I wanna make it look kinda like that. Just not now.
There was a 24 hour period there where I thought I had the perfect song to vid "The Butterfly Effect" to but now I realize that I just really want to vid both that movie and that song and that combining the two may not be the best solution to my problems. Also, I think I ripped off "The Butterfly Effect" for "Without You I'm Nothing" - well, not the movie (I just saw it this weekend) but the trailer. I was obsessed with the trailer for a while there. What bugs me is I did not know I was doing it. I need to be more focused on what I am blatantly stealin ::cough:: being inspired by. But surely Clark and Amy Smart are one and the same. They used sun/light points to transition between scenes in the movie, but not in the trailer and I did that in my vid as well - since I didn't know that they were doing it in the movie, I don't really know what this means - other than maybe when messing with levels you should use bright focal light points as transitiony fades between scenes and this is just a general rule that I lucked out on cause Lex fading into the sun was so pretty I wanted to see it in other places? I think this is the Glow=Mmmm factor.
So much is dependant on freaking luck. Or is it dependent? It is too early for spell-check (I let my spell check sleep in) and speaking of - I have to be at work to meet the new VPs and ADs and what nots and where-for-alls. Which means makeup and a suit and heels and gah. I liked the old ADs and VPs and I am taking their retirements/deaths/promotions personally. They all abandoned me.
ETA: Hey - this is cool.
frillybunny made "Whatever" icons. It's like the vid - only in icon form.
