Okay - please keep in mind that I am making this post , post a couple of glasses of champagne (well - California champagne, so not really, but it is fizzy) so I am a bit whoo-hoo. Also, apparently a lightweight.
The champagne is to celebrate Dawn's new house, but if you really want to know the truth - I was inspired to buy it by watching Absolutely Fabulous last night.
Today I bought glassware for my new alone space. The Boy has already broken a glass. This only affirms that I am okay with having my own place.
Today Dawn bought a new dining room and living room set. It is very much her - down to a red couch. She has decided the dining room should be lavender and the living room highlighted in red and she is gonna tie it all together with the front door which should be stained glass. I am now charged with providing her screencaps of Lex Luthor's office so that she has something to take to the guy making the front door.
At the furniture store I found a yellow chaise that I think my mother should buy (well partially buy) for my birthday. I am so excited that I get to decorate and make all decisions on my own. Now that I am no longer living with Dawn, she seems happy to take and listen to all my design suggestions. This is of the good. Of course, I am all warm from the champagne.
After furniture shopping with Dawn, I went to see "The Butterfly Effect" and I am happy that I did. It was not my favorite movie, and it went a little long, but - I liked it. It was interesting in concept and I was invested in the characters and I found the entire movie, dare I say...heartwarming. ::checks heart:: Yes. This was a heartwarming film, that was not entirely predictable. I know I am conditioned to find Ashton likeable, but dude. Solid job in this movie. I liked it. Also - really pretty. Pretty goes a long, long way for me.
