I am still making an effort to answer all of the responses for the vids that were posted this weekend. You guys are just incredible, I am overwhelmed but in a totally good way. Unfortunately, work got in the way of my responses yesterday and will probably continue to interfer today. Silly job that pays my bills. But people liked the Lex vid! People got it! Wheee!!! I knew people would get "Whatever" and I knew it was funny (btw - if you laugh out loud and hurt yourself watching that vid - all blame rests on Luminosity's shoulders - she totally killed me with this vid - GOD! Jason!!! HEEEE!! I mean - I was involved in the making of this and I still hurt myself laughing at that) but the fact that so many people took time to let me and Lum know ya liked it...Ya'll made me all smiley. Posting 2 vids at once it fun. I dub it The Next Big Thing. It's the new blue.
Speaking of - I have been in the office since 5:30am today. This is my first break. I've gotten a lot accomplished, including a long-overdue talk with my manager about my constant distraction as of late. We are blaming the insomnia and lack of sleep. I didn't mention the obsession with Lex Luthor, since I couldn't sleep before that started and my normal base-line involves a certain level of obsessiveness anyway - it is known as the Angel-Liz-factor but was once known as the Mulder-Liz-Factor. Originally it was called the Rick Springfield-Elizabeth (cause I was too young for an absolute nickname)-Factor. I loved him so. Dr. Noah Drake was gonna marry me and he was gonna sing "I've Done Everything for You" at our wedding. Well, that or "Don't Talk to Strangers" - which was actually good advice for the 6 year old me. When he left General Hospital and made "Hard to Hold" I cried, cause HtH was rated R and I would never ever ever get to see it. I think it was that rift that made me first turn to Bo Duke. Ahhh. Bo Duke. Still hot. Also - he can sing. I know this for I watched Hee Haw. Although I never wore out any of John Schneider's recordings and I did listen to "Living In Oz" so much the tape broke. I probably loved Rick more. Dawn and I did name 2 kittens (one yellow and one black) Bo and Luke and then Bo fell off the woodpile and died and we only had Luke and so we just called him Blackie cause otherwise that would just be depressing. I can't remember if this is before or after John Stamos was on General Hospital, cause if it was after than that is definitely the reason we called him Blackie. I loved him, too. John Stamos, not the kitten. I learned not to get too attached to barn cats - it did not bode well for the soul. This reminds me of my brother's black lab puppies Mulder and Scully. I did get attached to both of them - but that is different - they were not barn cats. Barn cats will break your heart, ya'll. Actually, black labs will as well, but with barn cats at least you know that going in. Scully tempted Mulder into the road when they were still very young and he, of course, being Mulder, did not look and was hit by a car. That was sad. But we didn't rename Scully. Cause he just *is* Scully. It suits him. Scully is getting fat according to my mom cause all he does now is hang out at the tire shop with my dad and people keep giving him treats and I think he is probably not out on the farm as much running. I stopped by the shop on my way out of town over Christmas and Dad was running across the street for a part and of course Scully was going with him. It's sweet.
I did mention that my dad bought a used tire shop, didn't I? Cappy is all excited that she is now the used tire heiress of her tiny little town. I'm just disappointed that daddy would not call the shop "Jesus Is Lord Used Tires" cause that would have been so cool. Also, probably good for business. So now we've got the farm and the tire store for Dawn and Cappy to battle it out in the will. They are already plotting strategy. I don't play - I sit on the side-line and the winner has the responsibility of taking care of me. The only thing I wanted was Aunt Mabel's silver, but Dawn's already gotten it. I have her china though. Hey. I forget that I actually own something pretty. I should use it. That is what I am gonna do next year, when I turn 30. I am gonna use my china. For something. I'll have a dinner party. I'll have to make certain that the dinner party just so happens to coincide with a visit from
heres_luck so my guests will have something to eat.

Man, I am especially random today.
Also, I am 29 in 3 days. I don't feel 28. I look it, though.
I accidentally turned my hair purple this weekend. I died my hair the week before last and my roots were still messed up so I grabbed a darker shade with some red it it - I thought it would be pretty. And since my gray was still showing through from last week, I followed the "resistant gray" instructions on the bottle. And my hair was plum-colored. Dawn asked me if this was because of Lex. I washed and washed and washed it and now it is a bright auburn that isn't terrible, but is much too dark for my complexion. It looks like I dyed my hair dark auburn. I'm at an age where I don't want to be obvious about things like that. I think I am going back to dark blonde/light brown.
I think being constantly sleep-deprived *is* affecting me on a day to day level and I know that is something more than just not falling asleep - because even when I am able to fall asleep at a decent hour, I'll wake up at 3am. Which is all kinds of suck. Also, I am not catching up on sleep on the weekends, either. I'm sleeping a couple of hours and then I am up and tired. I'm always tired lately. Maybe napping wouldn't be such a bad thing now - if I only employed it as a temporary measure.
Napping does not help me today. It is my late duty day, which means I am in the office until 7pm. I'll probably get distracted at some point and post a post-vid post - cause dude - I LEARNED so much. You wouldn't believe. Seriously, you wouldn't believe what I did not already know. Hint: it has to do with rendering as you go and trimming projects. Guess who didn't know how to do any of that? Hee. Vidding just got 10 times easier.
