Download the VLC player at http://www.videolan.org please It plays everything and there is no need to individually update things like your divx. Then let me know if it doesn't play cause I did the encode differently on this vid and I need to fix that if it is running slow. But, the macbook is a lot slower than your laptop, and it plays fine there.
