See, I watched all of Season 1 and I liked Peter, I did. I found him somewhat whiny and a bit annoying but he was a really good guy and he was dealing with a lot, so you know - I *liked* him. I never particularly found him hot (or Sylar. I might be the only person on Earth who doesn't want to bone Sylar. Or be boned by. Or you know - do bone-type stuff with Sylar). Mr. Bennett? The Haitian? Mohinder? DL? Hell, even Niki and/or CrazyJessica? Sure, all very very hot people. Oh and Claude. OH OH OH ANDO!!!
Ahem. What was I saying? Oh, right. Heroes is a television program fraught, nay, teeming with all sorts of amazingly attractive people, so it wasn't as if not wanting to jump Peter's bones was preventing me from enjoying the show. I almost wrote here that I don't actually have to find anyone in the cast attractive to watch a television show, but I think you all know me well enough ,by now, to know that would be a bald-face lie and just me trying to act like I wasn't shallow as fuck, when we all know the truth.
So, it was kind of a surprise when I tuned into 2x01 and Peter was chained up shirtless in a box and I was all "Oh, my!" and fanning myself. And I am woman enough to own my kinks and I really attributed it to the sweaty chained up part. But then... in another episode he was all walking around and again he was shirtless and AGAIN I was all, you know, really interested in him as a person and wanting to get to know him... better. So, I was concerned and I thought maybe it was the whole nonbroody about powers and not having a memory thing, but that didn't make sense. Cause I like BROODING (just not whining. There is a subtle subtle difference and it generally involves long leather coats. Look it up. It's a fact) and yet... so maybe it was the shirtless thing? I can't recall if he spent any significant amount of time from Season 1 shirtless (meanwhile I can give you ep titles, run times and numbers for shirtless Angel sc - oh and don't even get me started on Sam Winchester) but the show kept giving me shirtless Peter and I kept finding him HOT LIKE FIRE all of a sudden, so yeah. I figured that was it.
Until tonight. Tonight we flashed back to floppy hair Peter and while I liked him (and I loved his wittle intense face catching his brother in the air, oh PETER!) I did not find him doable. At all.
And then... Elle did me and humanity a service and I will love her forever and ever and ever. Wow. And then he took his shirt off AGAIN! I thank you, universe. You have done right by me.
Reason number 2:
Um. That was hot. You know - her little playing-with-Peter-like-he-was-a-very-interesting-toy? It was just... really really hot. I have nothing else to add to this. I love her. She came on my new show and was really really hot and made the main dude really really hot and so she gets my devotion.
Other Hero Thoughts:
I totally didn't get that Angela Petrelli's power was persuasion until I came on LJ. In my defense, I was trying to knit and watch the show and when she was talking to Heidi, I was cabling and so I was glancing at the screen kinda back and forth and at first I thought she was rubbing Heidi's boob. I rewound and figured out she wasn't but the entire mental picture kinda threw me from considering that scene in any serious, figuring out where all this is going, way.
Actually, Mama Petrelli is kinda hot...
DL! Don't be dead DL! Don't be dead! Poor DL. It totally sucks that he can phase a fist through his head but not a bullet. It would be a much more useful power, in the long run DL, if you took the punch and phased the bullet. I'm just saying.
I'm thinking Bob is Elle's Company Daddy. I kinda like the idea that Bob is the Perfect Company Adopted Daddy while Bennett is the Rogue Company Adopted Daddy. I like obvious contrasts. They make my brain really happy. Also, I could totally vid Daddy!Issues. Not that I haven't vidded Daddy!Issues before it is just... it makes my brain really happy.
I am bored with Alejandro. I think I might be able to support Maja as long as Sylar sticks around because damn, that girl has got some evil potential. And I am totally down with wacky amazingly evil religious people in genre fiction. They make their own fun! I'm still kinda no getting why Alejandro's wife married him if she was really wanting some other dude, unless Alejandro was rich or something. I mean? Why bother? Unless she was like that chick in "Black Snake Moan" and really someone should ask Samuel L Jackson if he would want to be on this show. Cause I SO BET HE WOULD!
If Alejandro leaves the show, I will miss saying his name as it is one of my all time favorite names to say. Alejandro. Alejandro. It is just fun to say.
To sum it up:
I wish DL wasn't dead.

Clearly this season the show has recognized that Shirtless!Peter = win; something they hadn't really caught onto last year. Really, emo!Peter tended to dress in emo layers; I believe (though I'd have to check) the most skin we ever saw 1st season was the bloody t-shirt in Fallout.
I mourn the loss of the hair, but I still love Elle. I just hate her a little. You know, in the hot way.
