Clockwatching

So far today my office has been filled with a massive influx of children, husbands (mostly female office of which there is me and two other ladies who are not married - and they are divorced) and dogs. The people and animals came in to collect their humans and then there were...well huh. Me and 3 other people. And I am leaving at 2pm today because I have stayed late and covered for everyone for the past two years on a daily and holiday basis so today I am being selfish and it feels great!

I could totally get used to this.

I am also in love with my co-worker's red Siberian Husky. She hung out with me in my cubicle and was just so interested and beautiful and smart (I bet I could have her filing given a day of training) and calm (Sid? Not so much like this). She's actually spent days at the office before but those were always post-seizure days (she has epilepsy) so she was groggy and tired. Today she was perky and alert and it is *almost* snowing so she was extremely happy. I am left with an extreme case of Husky Envy.

But that is not going to be an issue. I will leave here in two hours, collect The Boy, go by the CD store (y'all know Talib Kweli's new CD was released yesterday, right?), go to the house, clean the kitchen (have The Boy change the light bulbs), walk the dog, pack some stuff, load the car, go by the bank and THEN hit the road.

Actually - I'm hungry now. I think I will leave and go to McDonalds for some heroin-mcnuggets. Right now.

Mine was a white purebred Siberian Husky. Very pretty, inbred like you wouldn't believe. I very nearly had the opportunity to get a husky/red wolf mix this summer but I don't have the space for a dog right now. SO SAD.

I could have walked down the street saying "Wolf, actually. Well, half-wolf."
