I get all ranty when I see vidders brag that their vids don't have a POV (I'll pass on them, then, thanks) or when they pooh-pooh establishing POVs as some sort of old-fashioned constraint passed down by old skool vidders. As others have said, consistent POV is vital to good vidmaking. Period. Otherwise, it's all random clips thrown at the timeline.
