I think the "I hate the song" (or "I hate deathfic", or "I hate westerns", or "I don't know/like the fandom/pairing, or whatever), said first, is meant as a frame to understand the other comments, not necessarily as a complaint in and of itself, especially if followed by a "but." It's a frame that means that the rest of vid is going to have to work extra well and will probalby leave them sensitized to other kinds of problems because the music won't carry them along past them, uncaring. It means that any positive comment that follows is all the stronger for it and that all the negative comments should be taken as weaker as they are already hypersensitized. It's a friendly warning to adjust your view of the following comments accordingly, not an attack, at least in most cases (occasionally it is, but usually only if that's the only comment).
