Update on the Update
Apr. 3rd, 2005 08:44 amThe couch was delivered with few errors (I do have to call the store and deal with the wrong pillows - union gray instead of cadet blue - and some kind of glue or tape or something on the back). I finished all of Carnivale and then did a 180 degree turn into Rated-G land, when Ally (cousin's kid) came over as all the other adults in Lexington were gathering to watch the Louisville game and she wasn't particularly interested in that.
We didn't make it to "Ice Princess" last night as Ally started feeling sick. We came home and watched TV instead where she picked me ordering "Barbie's Princess and the Pauper" over "The Incredibles." She's five, what are ya gonna do?
She perked up after the Tylenol kicked in and we played with play dough on the brand new couch (I am a soft touch - all she had to do was ask) and then we looked at comic books and she decided to abscond with She-Hulk and Runaways and that her very favorite superhero is Barbara Gordon's Batgirl so I think the Barbie movie thing is just a fluke, as otherwise she has excellent taste.
Also, since she is sick, she slept fitfully all night long and woke up at 5:30 am for good. I am a bit of a zombie. We were gonna try for an early show today cause she still wants to see the movie (It's ICE and PRINCESS and ICE PRINCESS), but she has to get home for a family thing with her father's people so no dice.
If I can stay awake, I think I'll catch Sin City as otherwise I can't read
sockkpuppett's post.
Right now I need to get dressed as we are on the last episode of Fraggle Rock that I have in my arsenal and after that runs out I might have to watch something scary. Well, scarier than Barbie Movies.
ETA: I now know WAYYY more than I ever knew about Mary-Kate and Ashley. Apparently, all five year olds are geared to *love* them and I am astounded by the number of people who show up in "New York Minute."
Yeah, we watched that as well as Scooby Doo 2. Did you know Seth Green is in that and he hooks up with Thelma? It was strange.
