Yes, indeedy - it is that time of year again, folks. Time to roll up our sleeves and auction off our vidding copatriots like the fannish sluts they are. WHEEE!!

Seriously - the VVC Auction goes live April 4 and I for one could not be more excited about this year's line-up. Seriously - I considered not even mentioning the auction this year because I am Poor and I Want Them ALL!

I just... well, look - if after all this is over, if any of you look up out of a dazed state and notice you now own a vidder and have no idea what to do with her (and, really, who hasn't found themselves in just that situation, post-convention?) give me a holler cause I got IDEAS!

If you are not me and need to hear a little bit about each vidder - well let me tempt you with the goodness. Also - I haven't yet read what each vidder will and won't do. I should make some noise here about respecting the vidders boundaries and whatnots, but puh-leeze. I think most of you Are Not Evil and will get this and the ones the Are Evil (::eyes

boniblithe::) know you are evil and will Only Be Evil on those vidders that clearly and purely state: Bring It ON!

And dude - if you want a Bring It On vid (Or a You Got Served/Bring It On vid) now is the time to act.

The thing about Kanzeyori that you just have to know, is that so much of this just comes as naturally to her as breathing and if she wanted to just sit back and ride that talent, she could and her vids would still be visually breathtaking.

She isn't though. She works *hard* - she surpassed me in tech knowledge the day she first opened Premiere. She keeps refining and learning new things and working on technique and sustaining narratives (have you *seen* The Ring vid? Can you still sleep?) and I am continually impressed by everything she does and what she can make *work.*

She loves anime.

She also likes Smallville.

I think there is a buncha both reading this now. Hell - if a SV fan wants to bid on her, I will ship my DVD sets to her for that theoretical vid. Just so you know. I'd rather see her SV vids than my own.

I am for any and all things that make Dualbunny vid more. The first thing she ever did (a Watership Down vidlet) freaked me out and she just keeps with the heartbreaking and emotional involvment and she is fun.

I have no idea how expansive her fandom offerings will be, but you can't go wrong with this smart-chick's interpretation of Buffy. JMO - but damn I'd love a Buffy Character Study out of her.

She also has a gift with isolating the emotion and keeping a clean narrative AND can work with animation which is not as easy as she makes it look. She makes it look effortless.

FLO!!! I have big plans for Flo. I would forbid anyone else from bidding against me except the cause is Vividcon. If it was anything else other than Vividcon, oh we would throw down.

But -you should all bid on her because she is at that very exciting vidding moment where you just keep getting better and learning more and more and I am having a blast watching her go.

Flo just watched Angel - all of Angel - in 2 weeks. I thought that much that fast would be lethal and she just proves she has stamina outside that of mortal woman. She also has so many other fandoms to offer and if you are dying for a QaF vid -- you need to bid now. She says she will do anything.

She even said she would do Eberts/The Official for all you Invisible Man nutso-cases out there.

I am plotting Angel. Muahahhhahaha

So, I have this Firefly Idea and NO FREAKING UNDERSTANDING OF THE TECH INVOLVED and you know who would be perfect? If you said Lierdumoa, you'd be not-wrong.

Last year I made a mental list of Newish Vidders to Watch and she was on the top of that list (in fact most of the vidders in this year's auction were on that list or had been on it - we got a great group here, people. WOW).

What I want to see for her? Other than my Firefly vid idea? I'd like to see fans of Jake 2.0 join together and WIN HER FOR THE TEAM!!

Y'all - she will make *the* vid and you all can then just rake in the new recruits. YAY!

Or we can be sneaky and snap her up for Battlestar Galactica. Cause man - I love that show!

I *know* for a fact that several of you reading this have had The Perfect Doyle (or any combo thereof) Idea knocking around in your brain for *years* and just haven't been able to figure out how this vidding thing works to get it out there. Now, you don't have to.

I can't think of anyone more qualified. Or WES! Or GILES - people we need more Giles. It is like a daily requirement and I think some of us are gonna get rickets if we don't consume more Giles. Or something.

Wolfling hasn't yet posted what fandoms she is offering, but you can't go wrong with Angel. I'll keep y'all updated with ideas, but this show is going to be so great.

I can't think of a fandom she couldn't vid. I mean - her offering is just crazy insane and scary and yet I know she can pull it off. What you want, she will give and she has some obscure fandoms on the list that NEED some fresh blood(or vids).

C'mon all you BSG1978 Starbuck/Apollo people - you need to represent! Cause seriously, right now the BSG2003 S/A people are so kicking your ass. Kick 'em to the curb in one fell swoop with Lithium_Doll at your side. She has pointy-toed boots. It should be quite the spectacle.

Do you need an UltraViolet vid to make your pimping machine complete? Do you long for the days of Brisco County, Jr? She can take away all your pain and make it a Xena crossover to boot.

Well - all except for that last part about crossing Xena with Brisco. Although maybe she can (if you were all eval and stuff).

Invisible Man fandom lurking around here - I am looking at you.

And finally I wish to add that this is just a fun way to make certain that the Best Con In the 'Verse stays incredibly affordable despite its high cost to run and NONE of the vidders are making a dime. Seriously, they still have to pay membership fees and all of that - they are truly just giving of their time and energy to make VVC happen and we should all be grateful. Also - this is a damned fun auction.
