If you need an extension to file your Federal Income Tax, and you filed a return in 2001 or 2000, you can file a 4868 by phone. Call 1-888-796-1074. Unless you are me. Then you go all the way downtown to the IRS office on your lunch hour and stand in a very long line and gradually you get closer to the signs at the front and at one point you realize that you can now read the sign at the front of the room and it pretty much says "You Doofus. Grab a Form and Go!" So you do.

Stupid optometrist. She swears my vision is 20/20 with these new contacts. No Fucking way. I hate her - have I ranted about my evil-optometrist who thought I was crazy because I was concerned about histoplasmosis yet? I know a buncha people with it, this is the South, we know I've been exposed and I am having vision and focusing problems - yet she thinks I'm "overly concerned." Well - tell that to my aunt with the big honking blind spots. I should probably see another doctor - it took this one three tries to get me in contacts that I could even drive home in. Also - the mall? Not the best place to find your eye-care professional.

Back to topic - If you file an extension you have until August 15, 2003 to file your 2002 return. If you own money, you will owe interest and penalties on what you do not pay now. I should actually get money back - I need the extension because I cannot find my W-2s.

I make a really crappy adult.
