garlic, chilis, onions and grated ginger sauteed in olive oil (don't let it brown, very very low heat, keep the top on) then add equal parts white wine and vegetable (chicken, which I prefer) stock. Put your veggies in wine the liquid simmers, potatoes first, and so on (in order of what needs the most time to cook). Enjoy!
