What I find ironic as all get out is that Jesus is someone who used story and metaphor to teach and spread his message. So the entire idea of absolute biblical literalism is kind of missing the point in the first place, and the condemnation of all magical or fantasy stories -- choosing to see them as literal rather than metaphor -- is kind of missing the point in the second place.

And the Sponge Bob thing is just fucking stupid.
