sisabetI just got back into the office from the mall. It actually could have been worse - I bought my mother's gift today and it was an extra 10% off so I treated myself to a bag of those overly sugared warm almonds. And I never have to ever go back. Wheee!
But the people. There were so many people. Not unmanageable levels (yet) but the noise. I feel all headachey now. I can't imagine spending more time there than I did. I'm becoming more and more intolerant of crowds. It just really takes a lot out of me and I need to hole up for a while. Is it possible to age into being an introvert? Maybe I was always an introvert, but I am just really loud, so everyone called me an extrovert but it turns out that I was loud only because my ears are stopped up and I cannot hear myself so I have no volume control?
The shyness should really have given this away. I know I don't sometimes seem shy, but I really am. In my heart I am shy.
Now I want to rewrite my personal ad:
"Reformed extrovert seeks SM that will leave her alone on cue. Must be tolerant to animals and obsessive-compulsive behavior. Allergic to phone a plus, married/involved need not reply."
Now - in the interest of watching Full Metal Alchemist (and dude - episode 7??? WTF??!) I'm having trouble with my computer. This has happened before and I just quit Dling - but since I can't buy these eps, I need to DL because - dammit - that is the easiest thing to do. However, everytime I DL from a torrent - my PC will chug along for about 20-30 minutes and the BLUE SCREEN. I totally crash.
There is plenty of room on all drives. I have no idea why I crash DLing Torrents. This was a problem a while back when I tried to join one of those hub things - a DC+ or DS++ thing. I can't remember what it was, but everytime I connected, I'd upload for about 3 seconds and then - crash. Kazaa used to crash my PC on the uploads. So I think the problem with the torrents is in the uploading connection. I am fairly confident this is what it is because I have never had a problem downloading anything from a Newsgroup.
Do I have some setting wierd? Is this an easy fix? Is it a firewall? Do I have a firewall and is it messing with me? Cause I do not have to take this kind of behavior. I am the owner here. I should be able to control my PC crashes. And by control, I mean - eliminate.
