I've decided to not think about anything real that might upset me. Yep, denial - my coping mechanism of choice. Did you say war? Flu epidemic? La, la, la I can't hear you.

What to do instead? Why - watch Angel of course! Tonight I will spend burning and converting the remainder of season 2. Season 2 is always the time when Jossverse's really shine, no? I mean: Lindsey. Pickup Truck. Hurt me now!

While clearing out the storage drive last night I found a gorgeous wide screen SVCD that I forgot I had of "Into the Woods" which features my favorite Buffy line of all time: "Tell me about your whores." I wept for joy the first time I heard it - finally a television character that breaks up with guys the same way I do! I mean if I've asked one ex-boyfriend to tell me about his whores I've asked a hundred. And that was just about teetering on TMI, wasn't it?

I think I am finally starting to want to look at Spike again. The Spike fatigue may be wearing off - I don't know. I still want to visualize him, so fanfic has never been a problem - just the obsessive hunt to physically see him is gone. I may be getting past it - I'll see tonight.

I think we should create a martini for the occasion. The "it ain't really happenin'" martini. Let's think about this. Of course, we'll start with 2 jiggers of Absolut. I think it should be creamy or cloudy, since we won't be able to see thru the smoke of the bionuclear weapons, right? So, half and half. Or creme de cacao and kahlua... Or maybe something cinnamon-y. Like vodka and red hots... Oooh!!! we could call it a Martini of Mass Destruction! Isn't there cinnamon liqueur somewhere?

Hell, how about a big tumbler of Bailey's on the rocks?

sorry, girls but even denial may not get us through this...Jeff H. next door is deployed out tomorrow along with his wife's father and brother. I guess only Scotty is left. We gave Debra our cell phone numbers in case she needs something late at night and we are on computer..her baby is due soon. I've looked at him to much. That is all there is too it. At some point he ceased to signify hotness and he became rather, well...skanky. I think it was the jewelry. This year I think he looks fine - just a little old for my tastes. Not too old though. I'm confused and conflicted to say the least.

Funny but I still find fanfic Spike hot. Hmmm...

All I could think of during Orpheus was the Sisabet video she'd do to "Mandy" :)

I think it is endearingly so sweet and indicative of the character that that particular song touched him so much. I mean - he went to the concerts!! This is a new level. Angel has layers and that is the sweet one.
