little_details was started, I for one thought "What a great idea!"
Now - now that little thrill has turned into total - complete and utter - *crack*
Dude - how do you make a shark pass out? Do people in Syria have *beds*?

For every occasional fact check "Does such and such station have a turnstile?" there is a total unexpected I-never-once-thought-I-would-ever-hear(read)-this-question gem. Just. GEMS. Like on a metaphysical level. Like some questions do make me worry about the fate of humanity and possibly disprove evolution but then others just delight me with the very specificness of the request - "I need my 600+ year old Japanese demon to be tripping on acid and see offensive gestures being waved at him - except - in his culture - what would those gestures be?"
And my head spins.
I'm tempted to answer some very open-ended questions very succinctly - like "If a character was coming out of the closet - how long would it take for him to feel comfortable with the designation 'gay'?" - I want to answer that question and say "16 days." But in this case, I hardly think my natural inclination toward smart-assery would be helpful. Nor would my second inclination which would be to lecture the writer that this is actually a matter of characterization - what does she think her character will go thru and how will he process this -- because upon further reflection - she probably wants to just talk this idea out and this might be the best place for her. So Yay.
Facts and the Surreal - they are like chocolate and peanut butter; Turner and Hooch; Chico and the Man.
God - finally there is a place I can go with my Nightmare on Elm Street/QaF questions. My Bobby and Darien end up on Fantasy Island idea may become a reality! DOOD - Quantum LEAP - Sam is gonna be jumping in EVERYWHERE!
