Buffy POV, song is "Middle of the Road" by The Pretenders
Get it here.
I started this video back in October. Basically I was tired of reading about what a bitch Buffy is. Because - really - who can make that judgement? Okay - she is mean to Spike (which will grant you a big eye-roll from me) and sometimes short with her friends - but have you seen the show? Being a slayer is hard. You don't get sick days, or sabbaticals or leaves of absence (unless you are Faith). Hell, even when you are dead and finished you aren't. So if she takes awhile to sort things out and messes up along the way, so much the better - I'm all for realism with my super-heroes, I have no interest in watching perfect people with perfect lives. Because, this is the deal: even when Buffy is at the top of her game and has her life under control (as much as a 22 year old woman can hope to achieve) it is exhausting being her. And there are no breaks, time-outs or do-overs - that is just how it is.
Feedback, comments and thoughts are always welcome, wanted and neeeded.
Edited to adjust the time (stupid computer clock) and to fix the link. Thank you Devil Piglet!
