May. 3rd, 2008 01:12 amI might have been randomly trawling LJs that I don't actually know due to a sudden and completely UNEXPECTED (thanks Hulu!) basic *need* for Bones/Booth fic (I am blaming my lack of Scully/Mulder closure) and I saw something that I missed in these past months of LJ-avoidance:
Is LJ getting rid of basic accounts?
I apologize, because if this is true, then this has already been all over and discussed and all that and I am just the silly girl who needs to pay more attention. Except I am really busy, you guys (I typo'd "busty" there) and when I do have time there is all this John/Rodney stuff to think about and then there is GHOSTFACERS! and other stuff and I've got this idea with a capital letter "I" (which makes it "Idea") year-long fannish *project* I am mulling that Lum tells me to go for, so I might and then there was this guy I kinda rudely dumped because he called me out on my addiction to run-on sentences in an email (and he has never even read my LJ) so I just got all self-conscious and never called him back (because I write like I talk and now I am all "Stop. Breathe. END THE THOUGHT NOW!" and I can't sustain that level of thinky *and* flirt - this is why I was close to developing a drinking problem in my twenties) and have I mentioned that I got called into a meeting with the new bossman the other day in which he promised that HE WASN'T GOING ANYWHERE, HE IS HERE FOR THE LONG HAUL and I laughed in his face. Probably not my most brilliant career -move. Well that and telling him I am past the point of caring about brilliant career moves as long as I am with this evil, awful, yet still very useful and not completely horrid organization. Cause I can am totally getting shit done and if they fired me tomorrow, I'd still have that shit done, but with the added bonus of not having to pay a fortune to fucking commute to work when I already live in the biggest city in the area. Makes no sense.
But seriously? No more LJ for me? I'm conflicted.
In non-conflicting news, Boo-Boo Kitty's name is now Boo-Boocatski. It fits. Boo-Boocatski hates you all.
