I am still obsessed with the Vividcon Auction. Things are typically slowing down a bit (it's just Thursday, after all) but I know from experience that the crazy hasn't even been tapped. Nor has the evil, [livejournal.com profile] jackiekjono's noble efforts notwithstanding. She isn't evil, she's just drawn that way.

Watch and Bid here: http://www.vividcon.com/auction.cgi

Things that have made me happy today:

1. Going in late to work (I have late duty tonight) and sitting in a tank top at my computer in front of a white-sheer-curtained covered open window, vidding this AM. It was just a viseral pleasure and the breeze was warm and nice and the music was warm and nice and Starbuck's face was warm and nice and I laid a good thirty seconds of clips and it felt...warm and nice.

2. [livejournal.com profile] sga_flashfic has been making me happy for a while, but this latest challenge has been making me happy in new and exciting ways. The stories are to be written in or under 38 minutes and I am just astounded at what is being cranked out. It would take me years to do what they can do in a few minutes. I love writers. I do.

But today [livejournal.com profile] astolat made me even happier because she wrote Limestone. Three guesses what happens in this story and your first two don't count.

3. [livejournal.com profile] elke_tanzer's request for links to pro-novels, movies and fan-fic that follow a particular formula promises to be an intriguing read. I am certain I have read at least 10 different stories in both the romance genre and in fanfic that have followed this formula to the letter and yet my brain is such a sieve I can't remember any other details other than this feels so very familiar.

4. Daddy!Adama makes me happy. So very very happy. I can't even tell you how happy he makes me.

::glows::

5. The reaction to spoilers for the QaF finale are entertaining and I was very happy this morning trying to glean what was going to happen merely by the reaction of the fen. My take was that Justin, after a particularly nasty fight with Brian, flees to Venice where he then dies in a freak Gondola Accident and Brian is then comforted by Ted and they get married and adopt a Golden Retriever whom they name Justin.

If this is not what happens, don't tell me. It amuses me terribly and I now shall go to an imaginary place called "Brian Takes Justin to Obedience Class Where Justin Bites the Instructor." It's wacky! It's fun! There is a dog, so [livejournal.com profile] jackiekjono will watch it!

I will add to this list as my joy-in-the-day develops.

Vid Outline

sisabet: (bitterviddergiles - here's luck)
I'm at work - and I am bored. Bored bored bored and I want to be home and vidding and since I can't do that - I have done something I rarely do nowadays.

I've outlined my vid. And I decided to post it because - well other vidders might be as interested in process as I am.

Now what I do want to note here is that:

1. Please don't comment on the vid idea, clip idea or any of that itself. I have a beta and will figure it out and the questions in the outline are there for *me* to answer. It will bug me if anyone else tries to answer them without me contacting them and actually *asking* the question.

I'm not up for discussing this vid - that will kill the vid before I can even get more than 30 seconds laid.

2. [livejournal.com profile] renenet do not read behind the cut. I'll bookmark and you can read later after you rightfully tear this down.

What is up for discussion is process, process, process --- I normally don't write these things down, but this *is* how I do generally think about a vid when I first go into it.
