Vid Farr - it has been so long since I have had it - I forgot there was a physical price to be paid.

On the other hand - I am in much better shape than Cappy - whose LJ I have to read to find out that she was almost stuck in the hospital last night! I swear no one in my family tells me anything. And no one in my family can tell Cappy "no" - she can be all "Oh, tra,la,la I want to scamper off and twirl flags and catch rifles in an extrememly unhealthy environment with a fever and I'll be fine, lalalala" and we all smile and nod.
There needs to be a crackdown. Someone in our family needs to take charge. Not me, cause Cappy kinda scares me. And not Dawn, cause Dawn thinks the same way as Cappy does - so getting them together is kind of dangerous. Not Mom, cause Cappy has this knack of manipulating Mom and Mom has no idea what is happening. Suddenly, she thinks it is her idea that they should marathon Smallville season 2. I'd say Daddy could stand up to her, except he has this high frequency hearing loss and has never really been able to understand what she is saying.
Various cousins, aunts and uncles? Don't Stand A Chance.
I think
truthseekersara should adopt my baby sister. She's done wonders with the older one. She does not eat much and tends to be quiet as long as fed a steady diet of Michael Rosenbaum in drag.
On to other news: The Boy and I are getting along swimmingly now that he has readjusted his teenage pain and angst and focused his anger on the right place: his parents. Now I can depend on him showing up like clockwork to watch DVDs at my place. Which is fine - his tastes run parallel to mine so if I come home to a teenaged lump on my sofa watching Eddie Izzard or marathoning I-Man - so much the better.
But now he wants to bond over anime. We've tried this in the past - we watched X and I tried to watch Neon Genesis Evangelion and I made every effort to pay attention to "Cowboy Bebop: The Movie" but I was sleepy. But now he thinks we need to watch "Full Metal Alchemist" -- and I gotta admit, "Conflicts of Interest" aside, the premises sounds intriguing. But I will not be beholden to the Cartoon Network for my TV shows (which is probably what The Boy is counting on) and need to know so FMA info: Are there DVDs? English Subs? How many eps are there? Is the show still ongoing?
