Farscape - Peacekeeper Wars
Oct. 18th, 2004 04:18 pmSo will the Peacekeeper Wars conclude tonight? Or Tuesday? Why do I remember reading that the airings would be separated by a day?
I watched last night. Eh. I'm sure I have stuff to say. It was good to see my show again, but half the time I had no idea who was what or what was going on and when I did know who it was I wasn't quite sure what the hell they were talking about. I kept asking The Boy "What did Aeryn just say?" or "D'argo what?" - so I can't tell if this is because my ears are clogged from allergies, or they were mumbling or if everything was just happening to fast for me to follow.
I suspect a bit of all of the above is the correct answer. A normal episode of Farscape usually involves a high level of engagedness from me (apologies to
heres_luck for writing "engagedness"). This felt like a normal ep to an exponential power. A normal ep cubed.
Also, my critical viewing eye is all out of shape. Farscape has been off the air for a year now. There are no current Whedon shows that I have not seen a gazillion times -- I am all out of shape and huffing up the stairs to keep up. Lots of stuff happens on Rescue Me - but nothing too fantastical. Lots of fantastical stuff happens on Dead Like Me, but as of the last ep I watched (2x06??) it was not too terribly arc-driven and so I wasn't constantly putting pieces together.
Smallville? I enjoy the hell out of that show and I do usually find something deep to chew on - but, it is never really taxing. Other than the usual Comedy Central Suspects - do I even watch any other television shows regularly?? Gilmore Girls - maybe. Not fannishly at all, though.
So round about 11pm last night I was huffing and puffing toward the previews and utterly clueless as to what happened, what was happening and don't even get me started on whether or not I liked it.
I'll have opininons tonight.
In other news - I am vidding!!! Whee!
renenet I have more to send.
