Not Quite a To-Do List, But One is Coming...

I watched "Rescue Me" last night and really - everyone who says that it is excellent and well worth watching is absolutely correct. It is all of those things.

It is also incredibly painful to watch - at least if you are me, and I suspect some of you may actually *be* me or at least have similar responses. This also speaks to the quality because I don't often experience emotional distress while watching bad TV - well unless you count what I call that ole "Full-House Tummy Ache" which is the clinching of your stomach when you are forced to watch Uncle Joey try to be "funny." This actually translates more to pain in the physical realm, so it is really easy to tell the two apart.

Whether or not I can continue to watch "Rescue Me" really depends what happens next week. According to the previews there is a big ole dramatic thing and I'm already knee-deep in the grief of the show - I just don't think I could take anymore. Are there "Rescue Me" spoiler yet?

Was it just me or did the rest of you that watched just want to grab the poetry-writing fireman and introduce him to online fandom? Bless his heart.

ONE WEEK UNTIL VIVIDCON!!!!! Ahem. Yes. That is in one week from now I will be driving my way across the beautifulish state of Indiana on my way to Illinois and Chicago and All Things Vid-Like. This time I plan on just driving up the middle - no more unscheduled inadvertant detours to Eastern Indiana because I am vidding in my head.

I am all vidded out. In fact - I might even get a book on tape to listen to instead of music because I am all vidded out.

Did I mention I was vidded out? Cause I am all vidded out.

I need a vet in Lexington that is closer to my home. I'm thinking in the Chevy Chase/Ashland area or downtown. Anyone have any recs? Oh and I have to call the kennel and I have to see if Dawn will pick Sidwickian the Magnificent-Dog-Faced-Boy (he is upgrading names) up on Monday so I don't have to pay an extra day of boarding.

ETA: nevermind - I have an appt at 4pm at Chevy Chase Small Animal Clinic (close enough that he won't know we are going to the vet) and reservations at Keshlyn Kennel (highly recommended by a coworker - she uses their doggie daycare program I think) for next week and whew.

Now I need to run and pay the cable bill, check on the due date for the electric bill and I think there is a water bill floating around on the table that might be past due and so it needs immediate attention. Oh and I am getting ready to ship all the files I have been working on in the past few months back to the proper adjuster and I am going back to strict liability. For probably forever. And I am still upset about Gwen Stacy. I think I will always be upset about that. I need more Conner-Fic rageprufrock - y'know, if ya get around to it or somethin'
