Wheee! I was so seriously an obsessed 16 year-old fan girl during the whole post "Use Your Illusions" I and II era and now they are up to Izzy leaving and interviewing Gilby!!
I actually bought the Izzy Stradlin and the Ju Ju Hounds album. I was a fan.
Ohh - poor Duff. He never struck me as very intelligent.
I do have to confess - my over-dramatic 16 year old angst-lovin' self absolutely adored "Estranged" - cause well- 9 minutes - I could listen to the whole thing driving at night from town to my house and it was very very BIG, and of course it was all about the current relationship I was in that was just breaking my heart. I can't remember who the dude was or why I was so distraught and I have to think now that maybe I was just trying to doctor the storyline of my life to fit the song so I could then identify. I do shit like that. That being said, even with me being a non-critical fan and being totally down with the song - once I saw the video I knew it was over. Cause dude - that was one terrible video.
I still miss Headbangers Ball. They should release a Best of DVD. Just cause I said so.
ETA: God - I can imagine that once Axl totally lost it, the rest of the band craved some stability - but do they really think they can find it in Scott Weiland?
Oh hell - now I want to buy Velvet Revolver's album. Which only means I would then be making vids to a Super!Group. OH! SUPERMAN VIDS!
Zod and Slash - their time is coming...
