tzikeh posting about saving the kittens - or linking to a save the kittens post. And it is not ironic and I am in a very big super-hero mood as I have been in 2 comic book stores in the past week and I am always easily influenced by heroic ideals. Just the posters on the wall bay-bee are enough. Sigh. So go save some kittens dammit.

I'd continue my Slayage conference report with this entry - but as I never finish anything at all - that would be out of character.
I ordered "Dukes of Hazzard: Season 1" yesterday. Yes, I know I am your normal, everyday prototypical redneck vidder fangirl. If you've seen one, you've seen...well. One.
Last night I watched "Unbreakable" again and man - add this to the list of movies that don't have freaking director commentary and should. I want to vid that movie. I have wanted to vid that movie for a long time now - but now that I actually own it, I *really* want to vid it. Movies are the new black in vidding after all, and now all I need is the song. Which is pretty much the freaking point. I have a list of Songs Without Vids and now I have Vids Without Songs and you would think I could formulaically screenwrite a romantic comedy featuring these two lists forever just missing each other until that one fateful day... but nope. Instead I eat all of the rasins and peanuts out of the bridge mix and throw the rest away.
Which begs the question: why do I continue to buy bridge mix if I hate over 50% of it? Why do I do this? I buy it several times a year. Is it just optimism? Maybe this time I'll like *all* of the Mix and not just the nuts and raisins? Why don't I just buy nuts and raisins?
My phone is ringing. Was ringing. I answered it and dealt with a person. Who wanted things. Things I cannot give at this time. Suddenly, I feel very melodramatic.

I have promised beta to at least 4 people -- and I intend to beta you all. It's funny - I've watched the vids that were sent to me while I was gone and am suitably impressed. It is always hard to beta when you are jealous of others work.
I will also finish this albatross of A/S that is haunting my harddrive. Some of my vigor regarding the vid has been revived as I sicced it on *everyone* that crossed my path at Slayage and no one screamed "My eyes!! My eyes!!" Lum also figured out some clip changes I need to make and I am relieved as I knew something wasn't right there - I just could not tell what it was.
