This is wild - I go away for the weekend, come home and check my email and find out that some kind soul has paid for 2 months of my LJ account. This is great and I am beginning to think that

valereix is right - this is a thing. We are doing a thing. A very, very cool thing. Thank you anonymous LJ Fairy, whoever you are.

I am home and refreshed - a weekend of not allowing myself online was just what I needed. Not only do I feel more focused, my hands don't hurt nearly as much. Now I'm playing Boot Camp catch-up. I'm starting to fear my own damn thread. It has just gotten insane - in a fun way of course - but it is very popular right now and that is kind of intimidating.

Strangest Moment of the Weekend: My mother made a vid request. A Spike/Angel vid request. To "Whiskey for My Men and Beer for My Horses" by Toby Keith and Willie Nelson. If I edit out all the Toby Keith parts (a very annoying man, but a nice voice nonetheless - as long as it is just backing Willie) I can see it. Plus I want to vid this part:

You've got to draw a hard line.

Mom suggested this. Is Mom going slashy?

I have a fear that I am only going to be able to vid Willie Nelson soon. I could do that actually. I could be the Willie Vidder. "Pancho and Lefty" as Spike and Xander:

Pancho was a bandit boys
His horse was fast as polished steel
Wore his gun outside his pants
For all the honest world to feel

and

The dust that Pancho bit down south
Ended up in Lefty's mouth

I mean, come on!

Plus, if I ever vid a Buffy/Angel song, it would almost have to be "You Remain" with Bonnie Raitt. Damn - I made Dawn cry with that song this weekend. Granted, making Dawn cry this weekend was like shooting fish in a barrel, but still...
