My Dinner and Then I Blather about Buffy and Other Stuff

Okay, my friend gave birth to a little boy today. I know, very rude to have a child on Buffy night, but what can you do? He was actually pretty cute in that wrinkly kind of way. I held him and he did not break, so it was an all around success. I kinda wanted one for about the first minute and then I got bored. I should probably look into sterilization as chronically selfish people don't tend to make good parents. Anyway, I got home just before Buffy and Dawn had made supper. Turkey and sweet potato casserole. It was very good. The turkey was a bit misshapen but cooked thoroughly (I did check first with a meat thermometer) and was quite juicy. Actually it was a damn good bird. Thanks Dawn. And look - I'm not throwing up! :)

About tonight's Buffy - I enjoyed the Willow/Anya interaction. I'm starting to really like Anya, so she will probably die now. Interesting - in England magic is not an addiction, but in the States it is. Is this just a cultural difference? I want a life size fully posable Dawn-Doll. She could ride with me to work and I could use the carpool lane.

I haven't been to the boards yet, but I'm sure people are pissed about this weeks treatment of Spike. I myself was wildly catapulting back and forth in my opinion. Spike as the Scoobies' personal bloodhound: my first thought was heee. Then the good redemptionista on my left shoulder said "No, that is degrading - they are treating him like an animal." Then I got a mental picture of Spike in a leash and collar and I had a happy time deciding what kinda collar he should have. At first I thought it should be really butch - you know, studded black leather and all. Then I decided that was fine for everyday but I want a really frou-frou (froo-froo? froofy?) rhinestone collar for special occasions. I then got the visual image of Spike in a rhinestone collar and as I was beginning to giggle I heard Neil Diamond sing "Like a Rhinestone cowboyyyy" in my head behind the imaginary footage and that cracked me up so much that I started thinking about the movie "Rhinestone" starring Dolly Parton and Sylvester Stallone and I wanna see a Buffy remake and by then the demon was eating Willow's skin and that was so disgusting that I forgot all about my mental tangent until now. So I think I am either over this whole redemption/shipper thing and last week was just a fluke or I am just tired. Or maybe Dawn put something in the turkey? Or maybe I'm okay, 'cause even though Buffy was complaining about Spike's smell, I bet it is just so she has an excuse to bathe him. Hee. Mental image of Spike naked in a metal tub with a rhinestone collar and a garden hose spraying him down. God, I'm sick. I'm laughing, but I am sick.

Onto the vids. I thought I was done with Last Stand. I watched it again today and realized not yet. So that is what I am gonna do: watch it everyday until I am completely satisfied. Expect it sometime in January. Of course if it was not for all the incredible help I am getting from Luminosity, I don't think it would ever be finished. But that topic deserves its very own blog.

Last night's ep reminded me again that *it's just a show*... I tend to get all wound up. LOL

I'm gearing up to just delete all the mail from my Spike lists today because absolutely *nobody* has a sense of humor over there. I liked bloodhound Spike, and you weren't alone in immediately going to the spiked collar place. I went there, hung around there and enjoyed it. And if Spike only has the one blue shirt, I'll bet you a nickel he only has one pair of underwear, if that! And he probably uses the showers at SH, which means he could be sporting a helluva case of undead athlete's foot. You Just Never Know.

Okay, I need a cup of coffee. That was nightmarish.

Spike doesn't wear underwear -right? Is that canon or fanfiction? In BY his pants are low-slung and when he bends over they go dowm. No underwear there. And I am really sad for looking and knowing this.

I think we are getting primed for a return to the bathroom.

Okay, that comment was REALLY confusing the first few times I read it. :D

I agree about the underwear. Such a majority of the fanfics I've read say he doesn't have underwear that whenever I read one that mentions his "black silk boxers" or whatever else, I'm like, "nu-uh!".
