Well, Daddy called to say that he found Knucklehead today!!!

Yesterday he walked over 400 acres and talked to all of the people around there - called around this morning and someone had seen Knuckle. Daddy went out there with Scully and the puppy came right to them. He was actually quite happy to see my dad. Daddy took him home and he drank a lot of water but would not touch food and seemed to still be sick.

Daddy took him back to the vet (due to the area his options are limited and since Dad is a farmer he has to have a vet he can use - one that will come out if needed for the calves). Apparently Knuckle has lost 15 pounds (he is now Sid-the-dog-faced boy's size!) and is currently on IV fluids. They think now he has a tapeworm (he has been wormed twice over for everything else)- since I know what he will eat if given the chance I am not surprised. Give this dog dirt and he would eat it - eat it and appreciate it. He is an eating machine so the fact that he won't touch food at all has everyone concerned. He is found though, and safe and the vet's office is scared to death to ever take him outside again. Hopefully, he will be better soon and back home where he can terrorize the cats and run into things.

I am firmly convinced it was all of the thoughts and candles that were lit (even if figuratively)by you guys that did it - so yay you guys!! Really - I have rarely ever gotten a dog-happy ending story before so it has to be ya'll. Ya'll rock hard like Bon Jovi (who is in Nashville tomorrow - but I'm not going, even though he totally ruled when I was in the sixth grade - now if it was Corey "I Wear My Sunglasses At Night" Hart then it would be a mandatory road trip).

Eeeee! It's great to read about a happy ending.

P.S. Don't forget about Corey's ultimate 80s anthem 'Never Surrender'. A song to moon over Judd Nelson by.

Knucklehead! Oh, I'm so glad. I haven't commented before, but I've been following the story with rapt attention and pulling for the goofy puppy. I'm *so* glad your dad found him. I have such a soft spot for your dad out of this--for his loss and then for his devotion to the search and finally for the reunion with his pup!

YAY!

I'm so glad to hear the pup is alright.

Yay for the happy ending :D I've had a couple of not so happy ending dog stories myself, so much pleased to hear that he's safe. Hoping he has a speedy recovery and is returned to your dad's care soon. :)

Oh, thank GOD! I know I didn't post anything in your previous entry, but I was SO worried about poor lil' Knucklehead. I can't stand hearing about those kind of things. Thank goodness. *smooches to you and doggie*

Yippee! That is so heartwarming. Really. I think some Hollywood guy should make the Knucklehead TV movie.

Huzzah!

Knucklehead is still not well. He would not eat again this morning and he will not come in the house (dog room). It is raining out but I can not get him in and neither could your dad. Since he would not eat dog food, I've cooked him a chicken breast (boneless) and a couple of pork chops. I'm having to give it to him a small piece at a time and he chews and chews. He should have devoured this in about 10 seconds. I still have about half of it left after 15-20 minutes. He takes a small piece, goes to the back of yard to eat. Any suggestions on what to do? He was eating yesterday and feeling better so the vet let dad bring him home.
