Mar. 31st, 2004 06:43 amI have no idea why I got up so early...oh yeah - Sid-the-dog-faced-boy. Now that it is just us - his training has gotten so much better, easier - whatever - he listens more and seems happier since he now has all of my attention.
Except he still wakes me up by pulling on my hair. This is only when he really wants me awake and it can happen at 6am, 3am, or even 10am (if it is the Weekend and I am oversleeping). I don't know how to *not* reward the pulling of my hair - it is very effective - his goal is achieved and I wake up.
So I put on shoes and a coat and go to stand outside and he didn't need to go or anything - he just wanted to eat grass until he puked. Which is just par for the course in the spring-time. I was a bit put out so I made him come inside. He is pouting in the windowsill now. My question is: Am I causing him undue distress by not allowing him to do this at 6am?
So instead of getting dressed and going into what promises to be a bitch of a day at work early and at least getting it over with, I sat down and watched some Farscape. In "John Quixote" John says "Mind the gap" and I only just now caught that. Ahhh, pop culture/geek girl knowledge, how I am smitten with thee. Yesterday while posting about my CD store take, I finally figured out
sockkpuppett's Curtis Mayfield spoiler hint about Angel - only 2 episodes after it actually aired. I am usually incredibly dense about figuring things out.
I also say "Dude" waaaaaay too much. From here on out, I am swearing it off. I am giving it up for Lent. Or Lentish type thingie...is Easter coming soon? I probably need a dress.
Now I need to decide if I go take a shower now, or if I stay in front of my TV. Darien just went full-red, so I think we all know what the outcome will be.
