New Video at Headtilt
Jan. 3rd, 2003 08:02 amDawn has redone one of my early vids - Laid. It needed to be done. The concept was hers originally and I'm glad she has reclaimed the vision. Get Laid 2003 here. I can honestly post that I did not touch a single frame of this vid - a first for us. Now all I can say is that she needs to buy another computer. This banishment from my own system has made me kinda twitchy. She acted like as soon as she finished Laid 2003 that would be it. Now she has started another project. I'm happy for her - I am - but my effort at fanfic is not nearly as natural for me as vidding. Way to much effort and the end result is not nearly as gratifying.
In my Highlander viewing news, last night this crazy doctor(Joey Pants!) kidnapped Duncan and experimented on him. Duncan gets this look on his face when he figured out who the evil-doer was that was akin to "Evil ER Doc! Of course!" The most important moment in this episode came when Duncan sat up on the ER gurney and his shirt opened up. Damn. Okay, I was impressed.

Date: 2003-01-03 05:06 pm (UTC)Heh. The 'nekkid blade to nekkid blade' challenge moment is certainly noteworthy in "Mountain Men". As is mostly-nekkid Duncan running through the trees and then the moment when Tessa is cradling his head after the Q and you get an idea of just how gorgeous those two were together. *sniffle* Ah well, if she hadn't died, Methos would've had to wait a few more decades than he already had to get in Duncan's pants, and we'd've missed all that delicious "Ah, Duncan just walked into the room; I must spread my legs now.". *eg* And Duncan's eyelash batting, and the nose painting...and, Sisabet? Have I told you yet how terribly pleased I am that you're watching Highlander now? *g*
And the seasons get better with each passing year. Season one was so uneven: seven different head writers for the first eight episodes. It wasn't until David A. showed up that things started looking up, episode wise.
Ahh, happy HL thoughts, made just that much happier by the prospect of Sisabet vids in the future. Happy, happy thoughts, indeed. :)

Re:
Date: 2003-01-03 08:59 pm (UTC)Question - rewatched "Endgame" the other night - now that I had a clue as to who these guys are - and aside from the retconning of Duncan becoming an Immortal - something struck me as odd: Why did it have to be Duncan or Connor to go after Kell? Why not Methos? He is thousands of years old, right? The MacLeod boys are just a coupla hundred years each - does Methos just not want to get involved? Was it a busy week? What is the deal with those wacky watchers? Are they a council of watchers? Should I ignore the movie for now and go back and watch Mountain Men again? Cause I can do that.
Re:
Date: 2003-01-03 09:07 pm (UTC)The reason Methos didn't do it is because Methos' true raison d'etre is to do nothing. Ever. Unless he has to. The Kell thing? That was the MacLeod boys' problem.
Another gripe about the the movie. Connor uses Duncan to commit suicide. Of course, it makes for fantasmic angst, and DM got to actually tell someone that he loved goodbye, but still... that was suicide.
Another good thing about the movie. Loved the credits and the music.
Another gripe. Kate. The more I saw her, the more she looked like a fish.
In short, ignore the movie, except for the eyecandy factor. :)
Chivalry. Yeah, that's it. The little pissing contest in the dojo. My oh my. And people actually *questioned* the slash on that show. I used to tell my friends to turn the damned TV on its side and watch it, and then come tell me there's no homoerotic subtext. By God.
heee

Kate did look like a fish
Concentrating now on the show and shelving the movie.
