UPS has crushed my spirit. Deepdiscountdvds told me yesterday in an email that the projected delivery date of the stuff that I need to finish my vid was today.

See - right here:
Shipping Method: 2 BUSINESS DAY DELIVERY
Estimated Arrival date: 9/27/05


That is today, right?? Cause I have been sitting and leaning forward and tapping my leg impatiently since yesterday because I need those discs right now so I can move on this vid. NOW!

And so the UPS guy comes and the UPS dude leaves and I am discless. So I go to the UPS tracking thingamabob and they say that the delivery date is tomorrow! ACK!!!


And I feel kinda freaked out cause I asked f1renze for some spoilers about today (cause she gets Tuesday early) and it seemed to be going smpothly. Of course, who could have predicted that this would happen? I mean - this is the first time I have ever really paid for shipping on discs anyway and the sole reason is because I need them NOW. I can't stress how now I need them. NOW.

Cause if it was any other vid - I'd just work around the missing footage and plug it in when I get it but the thing is... I am not really sure what the missing footage is. I've ordered these things and I hope they contain certain things that I can echo in the already existing footage (like running and conflict, etc) to get to the end of the vid, but they might not and what they have might be something I haven't even thought of and it is perfect and I need to know but OMG I can't do any of that until they get here. And they are not. Here. Now. This is kind of the theme of the day.

And while waiting one day isn't really a lot of time, I am dying. I have to end this thing and the lack of source is like taking and trying to contain vid farr and you shouldn't do that! Bad things happen - like you do not EVER want to be in a, say a cave in, with a vidder with Vid Farr. Cause there is a reason Lum named it Vid Farr!!!

Serenity now!!! And oh! "Serenity" this weekend!

Dude! Why hasn't another vidder posted comforting thoughts here? All I can do is wave my hands ineffectually and curse UPS and say, "There, now, there."

Oh, you think THAT'S bad? Once I crawled naked across a rocky desert in order to get my hands on a bootleg copy of The Empire Strikes Back. Took me three months. I died four times. And once I got there, wouldn't you know it, it was Return of the Jedi my contact had. The bastard.

I ended up in the Arizona State hospital for six months after that. They had to give me shock therapy because I wouldn't stop humming my vid song. (FYI - they don't really like the Bee Gees in Arizona)
