"Serenity" June 23, 2005 Screening
I saw Serenity. Now I cut for my reaction, which could be spoilery although I mention nothing specific and y'all know I am already kinda high-strung so I mean anything could have happened and I'd be freaking out. Jayne could have beat Mal in a rousing game of Gin Rummy and I'd be all "DID YOU SEE THAT!!!!"
Just so you know.
ETA: Also? Mapquest lied. LIED!
So - cut
OMG
OMG
OMG!!!111!!!!! (this is also what I told the little studio dude handing out keychains, as my reaction)
See, I could blame the 800 mgs of ibuprofen that I took yesterday but no! I blame Joss. I had an ulcer attack after this movie and it is all his fault. That last bit - there was acid pumping in my stomach - I forgot to breathe and I swear I have never been as terrified at the theater as I was then.
Just so you know.
Right now, I have made it into work (barely) and I am popping pepcid and am no longer in active pain, just sore. Also? No more ibuprofen for a while.
sweetestdrain was wonderful and humored not only me but also The Boy. She also rightly pointed out that when one walks swiftly past a bronze fireman statue it is easy to fool your eyes into thinking you just saw a Mountie. I think it was the suspenders. Someone should write that AU.
She is also adept at picking out spelling errors from those annoying "Movie Facts" screens.
And then we saw the movie.
I'm Dead. Officially. I know I say that a lot but this time - this time it is true. That movie actually caused me physical pain. I am Dead. Maybe just ded. Dedish.
Just so you know.

Hey!
:(
Re: Hey!
The Good News? The movie was FANTASTIC and they might have another screening soon. I'll def. have the Boy keep you posted. He has a phone now!
Re: Hey!
Well, the boy spent his day today capsizing kayaks and later he got his hair put in corn rows. Wanna see pictures? Yep I've got 'em. Need an email addy to send them to though.
Oh and about Firefly, another screening would be great. Yes, have the boy keep me posted.
:)
Re: Hey!
And he *should* have his cell with him and I know what you mean about depressing. His phone is *much* nicer than mine.
And I know the boy is dying to see Serenity again, so I'll for sure keep my eyes out for more screenings.
