Lum taught me track mattes and now I am in vid farr. It was a sneaky sneaky little vid farring of the farr - I suspected I was falling last night when I realized it was 1 am and I was still vidding and was not tired at all. It is official farr right now cause I was late for work because I could just not walk past my PC this morning. I had to stop and fix a transition that was bothering me. And then I had to render to see if it worked. And then I had to tweak that and render again.

There was a point last night where I was vidding and clipping and running out of space on my Hard Drive and so I just went in and deleted all of Smallville Season 3 even though who knows when I will be able to afford the DVDs and I haven't bothered to save it to disc. It did not matter! I needed the space and I needed it *right then* - I was *possessed* by gay man purpose. Also - SV is taking up valuable space right now with 3 unfinished vids that mock me. I bite my thumb at Smallville.

When is Angel Season 5 out? I've got disc back up for that file, at least, but it is just easier having the eps on the HD. But sometimes sacrifices have to be made. Angel understands this, at least.

Right now I am at work and I'm jonesing to at least listen to the my song more. I should by all rights be sick of the song and I am not even close. I can't imagine being sick of this song ever in a million years (::is so in honeymoon::) and and and I made myself cry and I wasn't even at a really painful part, but I teared up anyway and wheee!! I *love* it when that happens and and and I just can't watch this shit enough and I am so wallowing and I named a clip "1x16 JESUS CHRIST!!!" and it *still* blows my mind and OH! I just figured out something else I need to do at one of the guitar thingies and tonight is my late work night but I need to get back to the computer and VID!!!

God - I have really and truly *missed* this. Everytime I slump I freak out that I will never finish anything ever again. Cause I am not really all that well known for finishing things.

Aunt Maude goes to her new home tomorrow. I am torn - I like having her around, but I'm starting to wheeze and she really deserves so much more attention than I can give her. But I named her AUNT MAUDE!!!

I need to buy a DVD reader/writer so I can clear 5GB of my latest obsession off my hard drive, because I won't delete it NONONO I love it.

I had a point, and it was that Angel s5 is due out 2/15. Buffy s7 is due out tomorrow, but I don't know how you feel about that.

And yeah - it hurts to delete when you love love love something so, but I am fickle and apparently last week was not the week for Smallville to throw the crappiest ep ever at me and I reacted by kicking its ungrateful ass to the curb and hooking back up with this really nice fandom I met and flirted with last year. At the time I really wanted to develop the flirtation into something more, you know - but while the fandom was just about perfect, it did have source issues that made me hesitant about commitment.

And then I watched last weeks Smallville and went running for nice and steady, if source woe-ish, fandom cause dude. I need some stability in my life.

Also - possibly a boyfriend.

Vid Farr is a wonderful thing. Except for the part where I meant to go to bed last night at a reasonable hour and then realized it was 1am and decided to just fix this one thing and then realized it was 3am.

I'm kinda tired today.

okay - my premiere does not do this apparently. Wait - maybe it does....

oooops! for #3 I was talking about transparency, so it's easier to judge the size you want

Also, before step 7, reset transparency to 100%...or whatever the level of transparency you want your moving mask to be...

wait wait wait! okay, doublechecking your method:

1) create new > color matte (white)
2) put color matte above where you want keying (doesn't matter where)
3) have color matte at ~30%
4) crop color matte to size you want
5) apply motion

Does the white box move like you want your mask to move?

If yes...
6) take color matte after #5, place above black video
7) render .avi
8) take .avi and place in invisible track
9) apply track matte to clip you want masked and
10) twiddle with effect control. And done. =)
