A Cat for Wolverine

I was watching X2 last night cause the first movie was on FX, but I felt more like the second and since I own both - I partook of the relaxing to a DVD option for my evening.

I am reminded everytime I watch that movie of my deep and pure desire for Logan to have a cat. He doesn't even have to admit he has a cat - he doesn't have to ever talk to it or look at it directly. I just want to know that if he is sitting and glaring at something/nothing in his home/room/whatever that there is the potential for a cat to curl up beside him. He can be in total pet-having denial but I think he needs a cat. The cat can be Nameless.

::just watched Hero this weekend::

Logan and Nameless are just one of the little diorama's that live in my head. There isn't much story going on - just a visual image.

Sometimes Logan's hand reaches out of its own accord, totally separate from any conscious thought on his part, I can assure you, and the cat may or may not be petted. Who is to say?

Also - I spoke to my manager about the Saturday thing today and we have dodged it for now - so looks like I am still M-F gal.

I think Wolverine would have Nameless and Rogue would discover Nameless and tell Wolverine that he should name it "Cat" like Audrey Hepburn and then Wolverine will have to kill himself.

You should really write this.

Rogue: You should call him "Cat"

Wolverine: Who?

Rogue: The cat

Wolverine: What cat?

Nameless: Purr

Yes! Kurt needs to be the one to discover it.

Oh, and Logan does NOT have a cat. However a cat may very well have Logan

Dude - he would so leave the door open but would only *act* like he didn't shut it all the way. And he would look anywhere but at nameless. I'm thinking that first night Logan would just fix himself a sandwich and accidentally/distractedly drop it on the floor. Along with a saucer of water. I'd have that be milk - but we both know Logan has no milk in his fridge. And Logan and Nameless both assudiously ignore the other for most of their relationship.

They are sooo perfect for each other.

I think that Wolverine would drop part of the sandwich and the thing that would keep him from picking it up would be that, out of the corner of his eye, he would see Nameless the cat use its *retractable claws* as it pounced on the food and pulled it under the couch or table or wherever.

I get a lot of enjoyment out of imagining Logan and Angel having a conversation. Or a glowery, broody non-conversation, which is more likely. Mmmm.

Oh, dude, you need to read this: The Dark Midnight Series (http://www.stoic-simplicity.net/imperfect/fiction/angel/darkmidnight.html), by Misty Flores. It's a BtVS/Xmen crossover, shipping Cordy/Angel and Logan/Marie.

It also happens to have a *HILARIOUS* scene just such as you've just wished for.

Highly recommended.

Wow. Logan/kitty. Somehow, that is so perfect.

Hero! Eee! Is it not the prettiest thing ever?
