Okay - well the main problem is that there is a lot of song and I can lay a clip over a relevant part but then there is more song and the end result is I run out of ideas and I'm not getting that transendant feeling at all.
Well, this stopped me in my tracks. You're forgetting one of the unspoken rules of vidding: The vid will fill the music space available, and then some. The secret is the judicious use of your clips. Every single time I start a vid with a song that's over 3:08, I think that it's going to be too long and I'll have to edit, and every single time I edit, I end up realizing that I have too much vid for the music. Editing "World Turning?" Nearly freakin' *killed* me. I have storyboarded all 4:32 of that song in my head.
How's the HD or is that "it that shall not be mentioned?"
