Have I mentioned that I love it when you ramble? And The Great Escape IS a den of iniquity and temptation -- I swear I only went in there in July to 'help' a friend visiting from Iowa complete his own collections, and somehow now I'm spending all this money on comics stuff again . . . .
And didn't DC comics kill just about everybody in all their pocket universes off in the 1980's sometime? I remember some even-Geekier-than-me guy in seminary pontificating about the theological significance of "Crisis in Infinite Earths".
All I know is that I've been a goner for the Superman mythos ever since I read Elliot S. Maggin's totally-unrelated-to-the-movies-and-therefore-surprisingly-profound-and-entertaining novelizations for Superman I and II in the late 70's/early 80's (Superman: Last Son of Krypton and Superman: Miracle Monday).
And yes, I'm pretty sure that somebody will get naked on Smallville tonight, and that the world will be better for this.
And then there's the Superman and Supergirl on Cartoon Network's Justice League: Unlimited, and . . . uh-oh, my brain is starting to explode.
