I don't watch QaF anymore - and I'm not really sure why I stopped. I think it was when I found out Brian was gonna get cancer. See, I was all into Brian is a Superhero - Brian is Batman and I accepted the ridiculousness QaF threw at me because it was Fantasy to me.
Hee! It was kind of weird reading this because I *just* finished submitting a Brian vid to VividCon called "Superman." (shameless self-plug, I know) I'm kind of the opposite, I think. I always sort of saw Brian as a real person. Certainly not average, but not complete fantasy either. And his pain is so pretty.
I've only seen a few episodes of Dead Like Me, but I want to see more. I really like the premise of the show and the characters are so interesting. I managed to catch yesterday's episode, and I agree with you. I like how they're still dealing with George's death -- it's a nice change from QaF, which loves to bring up heavy issues, but tends to forget about them and move on too quickly.
