Brian Kinney: This Is My Life 4/?

Ya'll know that as soon as I get him home, he is just gonna sit online, chatting with [livejournal.com profile] _green_ and eating leftover spaghetti - right? I have no Earthly clue how to force Brian-In-the-Guise-of-Me into interactions with people in real-life. Maybe Dawn will make another call...?

The Nice Co-Worker brought Brian some Oreos, which he took and ate before he realized that he is Brian and he does not eat cookies. It also dispelled his theory that he does not trust white foods. "Maybe I just don't trust poultry?" Brian wondered.

Brian then wondered, that for being Brian Kinney, he has been awful introspective today. He would have stopped to ponder the meaning of it all, but then he remembered that tomorrow is Wednesday and he had to go check and see if that means a new episode of Angel will air tomorrow.

At some point, Brian moseyed over to the fax machine where he was cornered by Invites to Church. Invites to Church is a lot like Delores Herbig, if she had discovered Jesus instead of scrapbooking. Invites to Church really wants Brian to participate in her Christian singles group. Brian is running out of excuses and actually really likes Invites to Church. Except for the invading religious freedoms, she is a very nice person. Brian lies about having a date this weekend and now Invites to Church is very interested. Too late, Brian realizes that in this reality, any time he goes on a date - it is big news. He also seems to be mistaken for a woman - a lot. Brian really hopes that this reality does not include cramps as the high heels for today are difficult enough by themselves.

Quickly, Brian makes up a cover story that involves his sister, one of her many boyfriends and dude's roommate. Brian doesn't really consider it completely lying as everything that he is saying *will* happen, actually *did* happen, last weekend - if anything he is stretching space-time continuum barriers - which does relieve him mightily, as Brian is convinced that actually lying to Invites to Church is probably a sin. Brian never notices that in this reality he is preoccupied with things like that, as he spends the next half hour arguing with a complete imbecile about having her car moved from the tow yard only to find out the lady has an attorney. Brian makes a quick call to the attorney, shoots the shit for a bit about Memphis in May's upcoming line-up (Brian and the attorney go way back). Brian asks after the attorney's wife and then they discuss the imbecile. Ten minutes later, the issue is taken care of and Brian takes a break to just kind of stare into space and think about Michael Kelso.

Brian then intends to go home, but instead spends the next half hour just driving around listening to Peter Mulvey cover a Dar Williams song about the ocean and deciding that anyone that does not think that that song is all about Riley and Buffy is just not listening closely enough. He stops at his CD store to see if they have a particular disc he is needing and ends up buying something completely different. He notices a blond trying to flirt with him over the used racks but ignores him, as Brian would never date anyone who listened to New Age music.
