It is finished. Whew.

Okay, so one day I am over at [livejournal.com profile] seperis's site and I'm all trying to make her QaF WIP "How It's Gonna Be" update by staring at it and I realize that she has written just a ton of Smallville stories and I like Smallville okay and I was bored, so I read one. And then I read another. This then became a habit...habit, addiction, it is all semantics really. A few days later I realize that the combination of both "Shattered" airing and Jenn's stories have sucked me into yet another fandom. Cool.

So here is my first Smallvile vid - and I have to say that if it were not for my betas [livejournal.com profile] sockkpuppett and [livejournal.com profile] renenet, this vid would not even be finished or make sense or well - without ya'll, I am nothing.

Oh, beautiful work. I love the intercutting of the ECT with the shots of Lex fighting--perfectly heightened the rage and desperation, condensing tons of buildup into a few agonizing moments.

Lovely use of color, and wonderful timing.

While I will probably never be a real Smallville fan, this vid confirms that I will always be a Sisabet fan.

If the show had this much grace, beauty, and imagination, I'd be glued to the TV each week.

That was brilliant. Absotootly. The transitions were perfect. The flow was dead on. The images stunning and the match with the song was fantastic.

And from a vidders standpoint, I have to know how you did the pause on a scene then fade. I have to know how you did the brightening towards the end of certain scenes where they sort of flare up before transitions.

It's an incredible vid. Do you have more? I must see more. If not, I'll just sit here and watch this one over and over again.

This is amazing. I'm really just thrilled to see a new vidder in Smallville (big whore for the visual, here) and your skill as a storyteller just blows me away. I'm sure you'll get this pointed out to you dozens of times, but by far the best part is your decision to intercut memories with the electroschock treatment. It's really chilling, because while the scene was harrowing to watch in Asylum, it was even more so here (yes, that's right--it's harder to watch here) because you intercut with the things that are being taken away. And then you bring the ending about by paralleling how this man who's survived this is now actually on the path to his future, covered in a rain of blood. Such a fabulous video. Welcome to the fandom, we're so very lucky to have you!

I am stunned

Re: Angel, of course.

You have done the IMpossible. You have converted my husband to the existance of Teh Gay. He watched the vid, shook his head and said "oh god. You've been right this whole time. They're ALL gay. How can I watch this show anymore??" *G*

That was the funniest fucking thing I have ever seen in my life. My husband's look was the second funniest.

I adore you both. Verily, I offer worship and praise. *nods solemnly*

Long may you vid.

What can I possibly say that hasn't already been said about this vid? First off, my mouth is hanging open in awe, and anything I say is going to come out at stuttering gibberish, but gahd. This...this is one of the most well edited and developed vids I've ever seen. If not *the* best. The way you put the clips together and paired them with the words to the song is utterly amazing. Simply incredible how you've taken clips from the various epis and strung them together, telling a story within the song with flashbacks and linking images together in ways I'd never thought of. Good christ. I do hope you continue to make SV vids. And now I must go watch this for the sixth time again.

That is completely awesome. Just completely awesome! The way you tied together the mytharc over the seasons is brilliant, and I loved the disgressed, overcontrasted flashes between sequences, that was so artfully done. Your hits on the music were perfectly timed, and I was especially impressed with your timing on the sequence from Shattered where Clark stops the car with his body; the slowing effect and the camera turn matched the music just perfectly. Man, this was a scary, fantastic video, and fantastically artistic. You've made me think about the way I vid, and inspired me to try to kick i tup a notch from the simple, linear storytelling method I've been using. Brava!!!

When Hope recs, I listen. Brilliant vid. I've watched it five times already. I don't think I've downloaded a vid since last year. So glad I broke that record with this one. Wow. Thrilled you spliced in Season 3 and all its darkness. *bounces* How wonderfully PAINFUL. Thereloveissodoooooooooooooomed. Thank you.

I rec'd this in my journal last night because this is the kind of vid everyone should see. Watching this is like being stabbed through the heart repeatedly with a flaying knife. But in a good way. It's an incredible experience -- a brilliant vid.

Dude. My head just exploded from the brilliance.

That is just fantastic. Truly. And I can't decide if it's inspired me to vid more, or if it just makes me want to give it up and watch yours again and again.

Seriously... I'm just all sorts of in love with this video. Thank you for sharing!

Woah. Just, woah. I love that song, and having a vid to it (especially a vid this damn good) made my day. The end scenes, which has the Clark/Lex hug intersperced with Cassandra's vision of Lex, was literally perfect. I love that you brought a new interpretation into the hug scene (and thus, all future episodes). Thank you so much for sharing this with us!

After about five recs on my f-list I finally clicked on your vid (I was feeling all lazy today and clicking was kind of beyond me *g*) and I have to say that I'm beyond thrilled SV has another vidder with the amazing gift to tell a story and make me hurt all over again in just three minutes. That was absolutely an incredible, incredible experience. This whole season has just been one mind-shatter after another and I'm completely enthralled in this show. Your video completely encapsulates why and I'm so in love with it I can't even say. (I'm incredibly good with feedbacking vids, I know!) Seriously though. To echo previous comments, the blending of the electroshock, and the lyrics and the crescendos and pauses in the music interspersed with the footage of Lex in "Hourglass" is so beautiful and just dripping with Smallville's whole aura and mystique of destiny. Just--thank you.

And welcome to SV!
