Screw the Inside - I'll Grow As a Person Next Year. 2004 is the year I Get Prettied Up

I don't do New Year's Resolutions. I have a difficult time remembering them and I typically am not an "all or nothing" type person - yet resolutions are generally very firm. Such as: "Quit Smoking" - where I much prefer a "Resist Smoking" effort. "Lose 10 pounds" versus my much preferred "Grow five inches" - notice I don't specify in what direction? Thinking - I am always thinking.

That being said - this is a good time of year to face facts and look at certain issues I have not wanted to really address. Namely - all of my pants are too tight.

Yes, it is true. I have passed the stage of just excusing myself as prefering to wear the "form-fitting" pant. We are even past the point of my pants just hurting me when I wear them. At this point, the wearing of the pants is not even an option.

I need to take stock of my daily diet (too much fast-food) and of my available wardrobe options. [livejournal.com profile] heres_luck made the comment when she was here that my room appeared as if my closet had vomited and she was being kind. I need to sort through my current 3 sizes of clothing and just put away clothes I will not be able to wear in at least the next month or two. That will simplify my life completely. I'll do that this weekend - someone - stay on me to do that or I'll put it off, please?

I'm also gonna join that WW fannish community thingy that [livejournal.com profile] bonibaru started. I lost 3 dress sizes a couple of years ago on weight watchers and I like the point system. It worked with my life. Also - my skinny pants are all kinds of cute, so I need to be able to wear them again.

Also on the 2004 Beauty Front - I wish to try Benefit's Dr Feelgood - the invisible blotting balm - I wonder if it will make my skin matte and feel like velvet? I must know.

I turn 29 this year, so I think I should probably go formal shopping soon. Every TV show I have ever seriously watched, tells me that this year, I'll end up going to Prom with some hot blond number. I can't wait. 2004 is so gonna rock! Rock!

I haven't had a french fry since March. The first week was bad, but now I don't miss them at all. Vodka was a little more difficult. heh

You realize that in eight weeks it will be a year since your last french fry? That is incredible. We should have a party. A celebration is really in order.

I once decided to give up chocolate for Lent and I lasted 2 days. Luckily, my religion doesn't celebrate Lent, so I won't be going to Hell or anything for crapping out. I just wanted to fit in. All the cool kids were celebrating, y'know?

French fries aren't that bad - you can bake them instead of frying, and ketchup is 0 points :) You just have to eat a handful instead of a bucketful, and make up with other veggies elsewhere.

Come to ww! Squee!~

My roommate ~loves~ baked french fries. She sprinkles them with garlic powder and a bit of chili powder and they're REALLY good.

And sometimes she even remembers to make enough that I get to share too. :->
